hmmmm...
Everyone is asleep. I was just getting changed into my pajamas and I'm pretty sure I heard someone whisper "Fatty fatty 2 by 4---can't fit through the bathroom door." Headed to take my anxiety meds now. :)

July 4th Weekend Pictures

We had a great time, Jeremy's family was in from CA and Jakey had fun playing with his cousins. He now says "Bass" for Sebasten and "Ju" for Juliet, and he is even saying "window" and "disheesh" for Dizzy (on Bob the builder). Above are some pics. They are actually in reverse order. The first one you see (up top)is of Jakey super tired-out after a long day of fun 4th of July activities. This picture was taken during the fireworks show...he was going to sleep. And the last picture you see (bottom) is from the parade. Jakey's first 4th of July parade. He had a lot of fun and uncle Chris bought him a star with ribbons to wave around. We had a great time!

Updates!
Ok, yesterday I found the cord to transfer pics and stuff from the camera to the computer, so you can expect updates more regularly now. The following two videos are of Jakey being super cute. The first one is of him seeing a butterfly for the first time. He was so excited. The next one is of he and Jeremy playing with a bunny that Aunt Kathy gave him. Get ready to smile!

How does YOUR garden grow?

I can tell you how mine does...in containers! Last year we planted a few things in containers and it worked out really well. My desire is to have an above ground garden bed, but that will have to happen in a couple of years. Until then we are going to use containers and they are just fine! We even used some old laundry detergent buckets (cleaned out well first of course). This year we have the following things growing: Strawberries, grapes, 2 kinds of basil, parsley, sage, rosemary, zucchini, peas, kale, swiss chard/salad greens, 2 kinds of tomatoes, acorn squash, winter squash, pumpkins, mexican cucumber, portofino summer squash, bell peppers, and jalapeno peppers. I can't wait till they all start to grow more and I'll post updates with pictures.
The best part about gardening (other than that it's free vegetables and such!) is having special time to spend with Jakey and Levi outside planting and watering. Jakey is such a big boy (had his 18 month visit yesterday....all went very well) and he loves water (wa!) and loves to help me water the plants. He carries around a bucket, cup, or anything else he can find that will hold water and comes up to me and says "wa!", so I fill it up and then he waters something with it. Sometimes he just waters himself (as you can see in the picture from the slight water spot on his shirt). He is so fun to be with, I am enjoying every moment. He makes me laugh so much when he does that squinchy nose face thing and he just is a happy and sweet child. 99% of the time. The other 1% is pretty normal I think!

A beautiful day
It's a beautiful day here and it's going to be nice this weekend too. We were outside this morning and Jakey was playing with his toys and stuff and I got some cute video footage. Check it out!
And here's a temper tantrum, in case you wish you were here to see that!
He's still cute, but the boy's got a set of lungs! He wants to hold the camera and he has very little patience. Wonder who he gets THAT from...MUST be his father, I have TONS of patience. ;)
